MBFW: Day 7

Well, Fashion Week has come to a close and I am so ready for fall and it's not even spring yet!! Read on for my final thoughts on the week.

  • Michael Kors: This collection transitioned from the spring collection with ease with easy and fluid printed dresses layered with belts and sweaters and cardis layered over slip dresses. A little bit of Big Sur was put into this collection with billowy sleeves and shimmer. The biggest detail of the theme? Lots and lots of suede fringe. What isn't to love?
  • Nanette Lepore: Purple, purple, and more purple was the queen of this collection in every different shades and tints. The collection was office to weekend chic with long tailored skirts and dresses that could transition to both day and night. There was a beautiful hand loom pattern that through off a lovely bohemian vibe that I could not forget about.
  • Hugo Boss x Jason Wu: Jason Wu is not known for the caliber of style that Hugo Boss is known for but he executed this collection perfectly. It was strictly neutrals colors like most of the other collections this week and was very sharp. This collection appeals to the no frills type of women and will have them running to the stores to pick it up.
  • Jeremy Scott: It seemed like my high school football team decided to put this collection together right from the locker room. Sporty chic would be an understatement for this stand out collection. A fuzzy red maxi opened and set the stage for what else was to come after. This was one of my favorite collections of the day.
  • Sass & Bide: Fans of this collection will be showing a lot of leg this fall with all of the midi dresses and shorts that came down the runway. These were paired with many layers in all colors of black, gold, and white. The whole collection was very fresh and crisp for fall.
  • Proenza Schouler: This collection gave some of the most coat envy out of the whole week. The prints were very rich and multilayered with lots and lots of volume. This collection was a break from the monochrome of all the other runways this week. There are patterns on patterns on patterns and it was stunning.

Thank you so much for tuning into #fashionweekfromthecouch!!! I had so much fun writing this for the week. I hope you all liked it as much as I did and I will be back for more in the fall.
